A 35-storey brutalist office tower rising in Istanbul’s business district. Its prismatic form and raw concrete facade make a strong mark on the skyline.
Concrete Tower brings the core principles of brutalism (honest material, monolithic mass and functional presence) to high-rise scale. Deep recesses in the facade provide shading and give the tower a shadow grid that changes through the day.
Construction
We built the tower from design to handover with our own site team. Each floor was poured in six days with climbing formwork; facade concrete was cast in place in timber formwork, giving every panel its own texture.
Interior
Open-plan floors use a section that brings daylight deep inside, with raw concrete surfaces. The building is certified LEED Platinum.
