Conversion of a former shelter into an underground art gallery. A monumental stair descending into a sunken concrete courtyard and the original rough walls.
We converted a 1960s shelter into an underground gallery while keeping its original rough concrete walls. The only new elements are the sunken entrance court and stair that bring daylight down.
The vaulted rooms were left as they were; artworks are shown against these raw surfaces.
